The Festool 578377 is an 8mm shank, single-knife (Z1) HW carbide roundover cutter with a 2mm radius, designed for the Festool OFK 500 edge router. The Z1 designation indicates a single reversible carbide knife blade rather than solid carbide - the knife can be rotated when one cutting edge wears, effectively doubling usable life before replacement. The 2mm radius produces a subtle but clean edge break on solid wood laminate and plastic edge banding. Requires the KLS-D 15,8-OFK ball bearing guide (490249) when guiding off the material surface.
