7-1/4" Johnny Square MACH-1 Smart Mark Rafter Square

The Johnson Johnny Square® MACH-1™ Rafter Square with Level Vial combines speed, precision, and durability in a professional-grade layout tool designed for demanding construction applications. Its innovative Smart Mark™ Cutout system provides clearly defined markings, cutouts, and notches for fast and accurate layout, scribing, and marking.

Designed for versatility, the square includes marking positions for 1X, 2X, 4X, and 6X lumber from 1" to 6" wide, as well as LVL material. Additional slots allow for quick 22.5°, 30°, 45°, and 60° angle cuts, while V-notches at each roof pitch help accurately position a pencil for common top cuts.

The frame features 1/16" scale graduations extending to 7-1/4", allowing it to cover the full width of 2x8 material. Scribe notches positioned every 1/8" make ripping lumber quick and consistent.

A multifunctional 1" wide heel incorporates a replaceable level vial, allowing the square to function as a torpedo level for checking level and plumb, as well as measuring angles and roof pitches on existing structures. The heel also features 1/16" graduations along the bottom and both sides for additional measuring versatility.

Built from solid aluminum with CNC-machined edges and vial holder, the MACH-1™ is engineered for accuracy and long-term durability. EZ-Read™ graduations and numbers are laser etched deep into the surface to resist fading, scratching, and deterioration. The matte black anodized finish reduces glare in direct sunlight while helping protect against rust and corrosion.
