Freud Mortising Bits are designed for clean, precise, splinter-free mortises in plywood, veneer, solid wood, and composite materials. The down-shear design pushes wood fibers downward during cutting to help produce a clean top surface with minimal splintering.
Ideal for mortising hinges and hardware, as well as cutting grooves and dadoes. Deep center gullets provide fast material removal and help prevent chip loading during operation.
