The Makita DUX18Z 18V LXT Split Shaft Power Unit is a versatile, cordless outdoor power tool designed to handle a wide range of landscaping and property maintenance tasks. Compatible with up to 13 different attachments, including line trimmers, pole saws, hedge trimmers, blowers and more, this powerful and adaptable unit offers excellent versatility for both homeowners and professionals.

Powered by a high-performance brushless DC motor, the DUX18Z delivers an excellent power-to-weight ratio while generating less heat for improved efficiency during extended use. Its two-speed push-button control and variable-speed trigger allow operators to adjust performance to suit different attachments and applications.

Makita's Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) automatically shuts down the tool if a sudden drop in rotational speed is detected, helping protect the operator. Additional features include soft start for smoother operation, constant speed control to maintain performance under heavy loads, and an electric brake that stops the blade within 3–5 seconds after the trigger is released.

The convenient lever-locking shaft system makes changing attachments quick and easy, minimizing downtime between tasks. Built with Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT), the DUX18Z offers enhanced protection against dust, debris and moisture for dependable performance in demanding outdoor conditions.
